Maseko tells #StateCaptureInquiry Guptas had power to summon ministers to Saxonwold home

PARKTOWN – The former Government Communication and Information Systems CEO, Themba Maseko, concluded his testimony in the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture on Thursday.

It is being reported that the former Government Communication and Information Systems CEO, Themba Maseko, told the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture that the Gupta brothers had the power to summon ministers to their Saxonwold home.

This was reportedly ‘to be told to carry out orders or be dealt with’.

This is according to a report in Caxton’s national publication, The Citizen today.

The publication goes on to report that Maseko alleged that the Guptas threatened him, and when he resisted cooperation, it reportedly ‘put him on a collision course with Zuma’.

Maseko went on to describe how Zuma had called him in October 2010 saying he wanted Maseko to meet with the Guptas. Maseko first met with Ajay who he alleged “wanted the R600 million for his newspaper – The New Age”.
