King Edward Maths on the rise

HOUGHTON – The King Edward VII School celebrate three students who achieved stellar results at the district maths Oympiad.

The King Edward VII School expressed great pride in their grade 8 and 9 mathematicians following excellent results at the District Mathematics Olympiad on 24 August.

The students took part in the Johannesburg East district olympiad and achieved stellar results.

Head of Department in Mathematics Janet Kyte said, “We are proud of the results produced by our junior mathematicians at the District Mathematics Olympiad.

“Their achievements show promise for the future and we congratulate them on their superb performance and deserved accolades.”

Grade 9 Jason Vermeulen and Grade 8 Shaheen Abdoola both placed first in their respective grades in the District Olympiad and both will be moving onto the Provincial Mathematics Olympiad. Grade 8 Timothy Clouston placed third in the Grade 8 Mathematics District Olympiad.
