The neighbourhood has been voted by travel guidebook publisher, Lonely Planet, as one of the best neighbourhoods to visit in Joburg for 2018.
“This once-gritty neighbourhood in Johannesburg has reinvented itself, with cool coffee shops, cultural spaces and a vibrant street-art scene,” Lonely Planet said about Maboneng.
Lonely Planet’s rating gives Joburgers and visitors more reason to submerge in Maboneng – a place alive with vibrant culture, entrepreneurial spirit and a strong sense of community.
