Sandringham body identified

LOMBARDY EAST – Deceased found in Lombardy East veld identified by family.

 

The Sandringham police have reported that a body – discovered behind a City Power substation – has been identified by the deceased’s family.

The initial story was published in the North Eastern Tribune (Week ending 6 July). The Sandringham police opened a case of murder following the discovery of the body on 16 June.

They appealed to the local community for information regarding the identity of the body. Spokesperson for the Sandringham Police Station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said the family approached them after reading the article and were able to identify him.

He urged local residents to come forward to the police if they suspect their family members to be missing. Mamabolo added that the investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been arrested. No additional information was forthcoming.
