#ICYMI: Yeoville police close down 2 shebeens

YEOVILLE – A successful police operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects.

Yeoville police hosted an operation on 27 July and closed down two shebeens in the area.

The operation was led by the station’s new commander Colonel Phetole Mahasha along with the visible policing commander Elias Mtshali on Dunbar Street in Yeoville.

Spokesperson for Yeoville Police Station Captain Sifiso Mabizela said the small operation led to two shebeens being closed down and their alcohol being confiscated. He added, “Two suspects were arrested and were given the option to apply for bail or pay a fine if they meet the requirements to do so.”
