Residents rock their new ward T-shirts for A Resebetseng

DUNKELD WEST – Some of the Ward 90 residents gave their morning to clean up their park and are also looking forward to the park's re-launch.

It was not just about cleaning the park on A Resebetseng (let’s work) for the Dunkeld West residents. It was also about celebrating and emphasising the maintenance of the newly erected playing equipment in Hugh Wyndham Park.

Members of the Craigpark Residents Association (CRA) as well as Hugh Wyndham Park’s committee member, Fran Swart, acknowledged the community members present for the clean up including a young man from Crawford School who was fulfilling his community hours duties.

Swart said they were busy preparing for the launch of their newly upgraded park. “We have new fencing, all the units have been refurbished and painted with new soft landings, and it’s all thanks to the CRA who have contributed for us to be able to do this,” she said.

Another committee member, Michael Parker said they had been diligent in carrying out the mayor’s campaign and have been present to clean up every third weekend of the month.

Another element worth celebrating was the new ward T-shirts. Swart said the T-shirts were sponsored and paid for by Ward 90 members themselves, and people would see these T-shirts and banners all over the ward when they worked.

Swart concluded, “Please will everyone come to our launch on 1 September for a Spring Day at Hugh Wyndham Park.”
