Man seeks family of his dead girlfriend

TROYVILLE – The deceased is believed to be from Port Elizabeth.

 

Jeppe police are searching for the family of a woman who was found dead on 14 July in Troyeville, however, the cause of death remains unknown.

Jeppe Police Station spokesperson, Captain Richard Munyayi, said the police received information about a woman who was found dead inside a house in Charles Street.

Munyayi said on their arrival they found a man who introduced himself as Tony Ndlovu and said he was the deceased’s boyfriend. “Ndlovu informed the police that the deceased’s name is Selina Mzalwane and they were staying together but he does not know her family and never met them,” said Munyayi.

An investigation into the cause of death is underway. He said an inquest docket has been opened for investigation and the deceased is still in the mortuary since no one from her family has been found.

“The deceased is believed to be from the Eastern Cape in Port Elizabeth. We are appealing to anyone who might know the deceased’s family or relatives to contact the police,” he said.
