King Edwards VII School pipe band crowned champions

JOHANNESBURG – The King Edwards VII school pipe band were named regional champions on 14 July.

 

The King Edwards VII school pipe band came up on top at the Regional Championships.

The championships were held at St Benedict’s Catholic School for Boys in Bedfordview on 14 July. The King Edward’s team put up a stunning show and in the end, was crowned regional champions.

The team walked away with the regional piping champions and the regional drumming champions titles as well. The King Edward novice juvenile teams and Grade 4 section were also awarded first place.

Master in charge of the pipe band Matthew Dale said that the boys and tutors deserve a standing ovation. He added, “Well done King Edwards VII Pipe Band. You guys really are a special bunch.”
