WATCH: #MandelaLecture guests chant ‘Yes we can’ as Obama takes podium

As the former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, took to the podium the stage at the 2018 Nelson Mandela Lecture at the Wanderers Stadium in Illovo, the guests gave him a presidential welcome.

In the video below by journalist Chantelle Fourie, thousands of people can be heard chanting ‘Yes we can’ – a campaign slogan used by Obama during his elections.
