WATCH: #CheatersSA coming to South Africa?

JOBURG – Twitter reacts to the possibility of a #CheatersSA show.

Cheaters, an American hidden camera reality TV series about people suspected of cheating on their partners is well-known for its weekly controversial and chaos-ridden episodes – episodes which are sometimes humorous but often sad.

The concept of a similar TV show suited for a South African audience has been teased on social media with many memes and parody videos which make one wonder what would really happen if broadcasters actually decided to pursue the idea and give the people what they want.

Last year, Ofentse Mwase directed a short comedy film titled Cheaters Africa which featured TaFire, Fash Ngobese, Nelisiwe Mwase, Bergie Fresh, Thembalethu Ntuli, Adriaan Louw and Bridget Mahlangu in a hilarious twist of events.

#CheatersSA trended for some time on Twitter with some people backing the idea of the show while others were totally against it for various reasons.  Twitter user, @nonkem even suggested that journalist veteran, Deborah Patta should host the hypothetical show.
