Over the weekend, the Basha Uhuru Freedom fest treated Joburgers to a thrilling mix of artists, DJs and bands in addition to boundary-pushing art, design and film.
Hosted at Joburg’s iconic Constitution Hill, the three-day event celebrated South Africa’s young creatives with thought-provoking exhibitions from the likes of Jodi Bieber and artists from Nando’s Creative Exchange programme followed by screenings of the critically acclaimed The People vs Patriarchy and Five Fingers for Marseilles.
Basha Uhuru’s sixth-edition closed off with a fired-up concert which featured Black Motion, Sho Madjozi, Samthing Soweto, KO, Skwatta Kamp, Blk Jks, Moonchild Sanelly, Prokid, Zoe Modiga, BCUC, Urban Village, Sun Xa, Radio 123, Muzi, Joshua The I AM and Big Zulu.
