9 June:  City Buzz June Activation

Join the City Buzz team as we bring June’s print edition to the streets. This time, the team will be hitting Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontien. Catch us at the market from 10 am until 12 pm. You stand a chance of ‘being buzzed’ and winning a R500 Spar voucher.

9 June: Fête de La Musique 2018

A day of free music, entertainment, arts and crafts at this year’s Fête de La Musique, promising to be bigger than ever, showcasing musical talent from across Europe and Africa’s French-speaking lands, as well as a very plentiful serving of great South African music. There will be more than 20 acts performing on six stages at the Newtown Precinct.

9 June: Jozi Skyline Art Workshop

Learn how to paint the skyline, at this workshop at City Central while indulging in some fine wine and food. Spend the chilly Saturday afternoon painting your own masterpiece with step-by-step instructions from artist, Ann Davidson Turner. The workshop will cost you R455 (per person) booking fee includes the canvas and all painting materials.

10 June: Woza Albert!

Head over to The Fringe Stage at the Joburg Theatre for a taste of one of South Africa’s best anti-apartheid theatrical pieces. Written by Mbongeni Ngema, Barney Simon and Percy Mtwa, the play envisions the second coming of Christ during apartheid-era South Africa and will only set you back R60 – R120 per person for a great experience.

10 June: The Box Comedy @ P.O.P Art Theatre

What’s a Sunday night in Maboneng without a visit at The Box Comedy for the best untapped stand-up comedians for only R50? A perfect way to warm yourself up with laughter, a pizza and maybe a beer or two.
