Glamorous evening to celebrate new Hirsch’s Hyde Park store

DUNKELD WEST – Many enjoyed a fun evening at Hirsch's Hyde Park on 15 May.

An evening of glitz and glamour was experienced at the new Hirsch’s Hyde Park store last night, 15 May, as the family-orientated appliance store held an opening for its suppliers.

The event saw the store filled with the Hirsch family, employees, managerial staff and suppliers.

Richard Hirsch, managing director of Hirsch’s, said, “It has been a wonderful transition from the store that was here before, which was owned by the lovely people who had it for a long time. It is a beautiful building, and for us, it is a massive investment in the area.”

Darren Ramsamy, Hirsch’s regional aircon manager, who has been working for the company for 12 years, said there has been growth within Hirsch’s, which includes promotions.

“I oversee [the aircon departments in] all the stores in Gauteng. I do training with all different branches. My key role is to promote the business and take it from one level to the next each year and make sure things go well for the company in the aircon department,” said Ramsamy.

Hyde Park Hirsch’s branch manager, Deon Thomas said, “I helped so much setting up the store and we worked hard together as a team. We are excited to have opened a new branch in Hyde Park.”

The opening event for the suppliers highlighted teamwork. The extended Hirsch’s family showed excitement on the opening of a new branch.

The store is currently trading but the official opening for the public will be held on 25 May.
