#ICYMI: TV and radio presenter Akhumzi Jezile has died
JOBURG – 'We'll miss his exhilarating energy, passion & appreciation of Africa culture, which inspired him to learn most of our languages,' tweeted Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa.
It is being widely reported this evening that the former YoTV presenter, Akhumzi Jezile, has died.
A close friend is reported to have confirmed the news to TshisaLIVE.
It is reported that Jezile was apparently killed in a car accident this morning, 28 April, near Queenstown in the Eastern Cape, however reports state that police are yet to confirm the cause of his death.
The Minister of Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, further confirmed the news on Twitter and paid tribute to Jezile:
