24 Carrots call on residents to donate blood

ORCHARDS – The company wants to use this time to create relations with the community.

Events company, 24 Carrots, invites donors to their first-ever blood drive to be held on 10 April in Orchards along Louis Road.

According to organiser Buhle Ndaba, they aim to collect as many units of blood as possible to help make a difference in the lives of those desperately in need.

“The South African National Blood Services (SANBS) requires over 3 000 units per day to meet the needs of their patients countrywide,” said Ndaba.

“The current record for this year in the Gauteng province is estimated at 134 units raised per day and 24 Carrots hopes to beat this record with your help.”

The company would also use this opportunity to form meaningful networks with the community that will last a lifetime.

Ndaba urges the community give 30 minutes of their valuable time and meet the staff of the Carrot Patch – enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and give your much-needed blood.

The creative company has announced that they will be hosting three other blood drives on 4 July, 3 September and 31 October.

“We hope the community in the area, as well as others from elsewhere, will heed the call and donate blood to help save lives.”
