#PleaseShare: help Lyndhurst resident get back her lost dog

LYNDHURST – Local resident offers a reward for the return of her lost dog.

Following a burglary at her home in Lyndhurst on 1 April, resident Anneke van Ake is pleading for help from the community to help find her lost dog.

Van Ake said the burglary took place between 10.45am and 1pm when she went to the store. Upon her return, she found her automatic gate had been taken off its rails and someone had been in her home. A number of items had been taken including jewellery, a television and her microwave.

She said, “There have been a number of robberies [on our street].”

But although she has lost a number of items, she is terribly upset about her three-year-old white and beige large cross-breed, Suzie, who must have run out of the open gate during the robbery. She said, “I don’t care about what they stole, I just want my beautiful Suzie to come home. How do I replace her?”

Van Ake explained that she found Suzie as a puppy on Modderfontein Road in Edenvale and took her in. “Suzie is my child. She’s vibrant and playful.”

She is offering a reward of R2 000 to anyone who can assist in bringing her dog home. She said, “Suzie is three years old, she’s beige and white and has a slight limp on her right paw. She also has facial scars from the abscesses she had when I found her.”
