JP Morgan returns with annual race challenge

ROSEBANK – All you need to know about the road closures for the upcoming JP Morgan Corporate Challenge road race.

 

The annual JP Morgan Corporate Challenge has made yet another comeback with the road race commencing on 5 April.

The event requires temporary road closures at intersections of Glenhove Road and Jan Smuts Avenue, Jellicoe Avenue and Jan Smuts Avenue, Oxford Road and Corlett Drive, Oxford Road and Bolton Road, Oxford Road and Jellicoe Avenue and the Corlett Drive off-ramp at the M1 on the day, as a total of 14 000 walkers, joggers and runners will cross major intersections.

The organisers will hand-deliver notices to each dwelling in the affected area, detailing all elements of the race and providing notification of activities leading up to and around the event.

Residents will be allowed access in and out of the area, provided there are no runners at the time. No discs will be issued to residents, simply notify the marshal, traffic official or security guard at the barricaded entrance and he will allow you access.

It is requested that on this one day, residents can arrange to be home before 5pm or return after 8.30pm.

JP Morgan race organisers would like to ensure that the residents along the route are kept informed of the upcoming temporary road-closures to ensure minimal disruption to their daily activities before and during the race.
