Sandringham police investigate body found on N3 south

SANDRINGHAM – The Sandringham police are trying to identify an unknown man whose body was found on the highway on 4 March.

 

The Sandringham police are currently investigating an incident involving an unknown body found on the highway on 4 March.

The spokesperson for the police station, Captain Mohlaume Mamabolo said the deceased was found at 9.30pm on the N3 south at the London Road offramp after being killed in a suspected hit and run.

Mamabolo said they are currently trying to identify the body and are calling on residents to come forward with any information that could help identify the deceased.

He also stressed that pedestrians should not use the highway when walking. “Do not walk along or across the highway as it’s extremely dangerous. If any pedestrians are found along the highway, the Metro police or police will take action.”
