Numerous people saved from burning building in CBD
JOBURG – Joburg firefighters save a number of people from burning building.
An unknown number of people have been rescued from a burning building on the corner of Troy and Commissioner streets in Johannesburg.
EMS spokesman, Robert Mulaudzi, has urged motorists to avoid the area.

Nana Radebe, also an EMS spokesman, said that no casualties had been reported.
“Emergency Management Services responded to a structural fire in Joburg CBD where nine shops burnt. The fire is currently under control and fortunately no casualties or fatalities reported. It took firefighters more than an hour to contain the brazing flames. Fire Safety officers are on scene to conduct preliminary investigations for cause of fire,” Radebe said.
