Trevor Noah memoir scores film adaptation

JOBURG – Lupita Nyong’o to star in Noah’s ‘Born a Crime’ adaptation.

Trevor Noah’s bestselling memoir, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, is set to be adapted into a film starring Oscar-winner and Black Panther actress, Lupita Nyong’o.

Nyong’o, is set to play Trevor Noah’s mom, Patricia, in the film adaptation.

It is reported that Noah is producing the project through his Ark Angel Productions alongside Norman Aladjem, Derek van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin of Mainstay Entertainment, and Nyong’o.

The Daily Show host’s bestselling debut memoir has been on the bestseller list since its release and has earned Noah the James Thurber Prize for American Humour and two NAACP Image Awards.
