Sadag to host live chat sessions for those suffering from depression

JOHANNESBURG – SADAG will be hosting an online Q&A on 16 February.

In line with Teen Suicide Prevention Week, which runs from 21 to 28 February, the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (Sadag) will host two live chats on the organisation’s Facebook page on 16 February.

The online #FacebookFriday chat sessions will be hosted by professionals who will provide teachers, parents, friends and family members with expert advice and information on depression and suicide prevention.

The afternoon live chat session, which will start promptly at 1pm, will be led by educational psychologist Tshepiso Matentjie. The evening session will begin at 7pm sharp, with psychologist Cindy van Wyk leading the discussion and answering any questions on the Facebook page.

If you or your loved ones are feeling hopeless, alone or depressed, be sure to make use of the live chat sessions as well as the online Teen Suicide Prevention

Tool Kit. The kit, which can be found on the organisation’s website, provides helpful tips, videos, information on warning signs and ways to get help.
