- A 24-year-old woman appeared briefly in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court for theft. It is alleged that the accused was caught shoplifting at a store in Cresta Shopping Centre.
The accused, a mother of two children, asked the court to give her time to appoint legal representation. She told the court that she doesn’t want to use the services of Legal Aid and said she will appoint her own legal representative. The case has been remanded in order to allow the accused to find an attorney.
