Two suspects involved in the house robbery and murder that occurred on 10 December in Kelvin were arrested on 12 December.
The incident, which occurred on Kelvin Road at 5.15am, left one killed. Spokesperson for Bramley Police Station, Captain Molefe Mogodi said, “In the early hours of the morning, three suspects forced their way into a house in Bramley. They allegedly went to the gardener’s room where they tied him up with shoelaces. They allegedly proceeded to the main house where they found the owners of the house, who were threatened with a firearm.”

Mogodi added that the suspects allegedly stole clothing, cellphones, jewellery, laptops and other items. They allegedly shot and killed one of the homeowners and fled the scene.
“The detectives’ investigation led them to the gardener who led the police to the other suspects who were hiding in Diepsloot. Two suspects were found and arrested together with the gardener. Stolen goods were also recovered.”
The suspects appeared in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on 13 December, where the case was postponed.
Police are still on the lookout for one other suspect and the murder weapon, and are appealing the public to come forward with any information that will lead to the arrest of the remaining suspect.
