Unidentified man’s body found near 4th Avenue in Parkhurst

PARKHURST – The man, whose identity is unknown, was found by the Braamfontein Spruit.

 

The body of a man was found in Parkhurst and the circumstances surrounding his death are unconfirmed.

On 28 November at around 7.30am, the Parkview Police Station received a call about a body that had been found near the corner of 4th Avenue and 5th Street in Parkhurst. When police arrived, they found two unknown men on the street who informed them that the man was discovered at the Braamfontein Spruit, which flows past 4th Avenue.

There is speculation he was swept away by the water during the night as it was raining.

The identity of the man is still unknown. An inquest docket has been opened for further investigation.
