With World Aids Day coming up on 2 December, the National Institute for Communicable Diseases will host a panel discussion about the right to health on 29 November.
The panel discussion, entitled My Health, My Right, will be held alongside the National Department of Health and will look at a citizen’s right to health through the lens of policymakers, media, scientists and activists.
The panel will include deputy director at the department, Dr Yogan Pillay; Mail & Guardian health editor Mia Malan. Members from the institute’s centre for HIV and STIs will be included in the discussion as well as professor Lynn Morris, Dr Tendasayi Kufa-Chakezha and professor Caroline Tiemessen.
The discussion will be held at the institute’s Sandringham headquarters at the PRF Auditorium from 5.30pm. Booking for the event is essential and interested attendees should RSVP to monicaf@nicd.ac.za
