Norwood – The suspects were arrested between 18 and 29 September for crimes ranging from fraud to drunk driving.

Norwood police have arrested 35 suspects who face various offences committed in the Joburg east suburbs, according to the police spokesperson, Captain Elliot Tshivhase.

The suspects were arrested between 18 and 29 September for crimes ranging from fraud to drunk driving.

The arrests were as follows:

1 assault in a domestic violence incident

1 bribery

1 warrant of arrest

1 possession of stolen goods

2 fraud

2 reckless or negligent driving

2 shoplifting

2 assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

23 drunk driving.

“All suspects appeared in court and others made bail while others still remain in police custody. Investigations continue on those still remaining in police custody,” said Tshivhase.
