#ICYMI: Run for Hope with Four Seasons The Westcliff and CHOC

CRAIGHALL PARK – Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff will host a Run for Hope fun run event to raise funds which will go towards supporting children living with cancer and life threatening blood disorders.

The Children’s Haematology Oncology Clinics (CHOC), which supports parents of children living with cancer, is encouraging all South Africans to subscribe to the motto ‘be bold, go gold’ this Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

During the month of September, CHOC aims to increase knowledge about childhood cancer by creating awareness about the early warning signs of the illness.

The organisation would also like to promote the increase of early diagnosis, enhance funding and ultimately encourage a change in the prognosis for children diagnosed with childhood cancer. Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Westcliff will host a Run for Hope fun run event on 9 September, the second such event, to raise funds which will go towards supporting children living with cancer and life threatening blood disorders.

“Over the past two decades, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts around the world have raised more than a billion rand towards cancer research,” said Gene Redelinghuys, public relations manager at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “Cancer takes an enormous toll on everyone it touches but it is possible to survive its ravages and end up stronger, wiser and more compassionate for having endured the journey.”
