A total of 29 suspects were arrested by Yeoville police for committing various crimes.
The arrests were made between 1 and 8 September according to Captain Sifiso Mabizela, spokesperson for Yeoville Police Station.
The arrests are as follows:
- 1 for murder
- 1 for rape
- 1 for reckless and negligent driving
- 1 for theft
- 1 for driving under the influence of liquor or drugs
- 1 dealing in drugs
- 2 for unlawful possession of a firearm
- 2 for possession of drugs
- 3 for common robbery
- 3 for common assault
- 4 for shoplifting
- 4 for assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm
- 5 for armed robbery and attempted murder.
