UPDATE: Former assistant water polo coach court case postponed

JOBURG – The 22-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting over 20 students from Parktown Boys’ High School.

The Rosebank Killarney Gazette is currently at the court and can confirm that the case has been postponed to 10 November. The accused remains out on bail.

A former Parktown High School for Boys’ assistant water polo coach will appear in the South Gauteng High Court this morning for allegedly sexually assaulting students.

The man, who was arrested in November last year, faces 160 charges. Among the charges includes one count of rape, three counts of attempted murder, eight counts of sexual assault and six counts of sexual grooming.

He was arrested last year and resigned from his position at the school when he was caught on CCTV footage allegedly fondling a student.

The man has been out on R3 000 bail since last year.
