Fifteen students from Parktown High School for Girls participated in the National Afrikaans Senior Gebruiksolimpiade, run by the Afrikaans Language and Culture Association. Renate Janse van Rensburg came second in South Africa with an average of 95.3 per cent and received R3 000 for her achievements.
