The POPArt Centre in Maboneng is known for the space it provides for aspiring thespians to stage their productions for the first time as well as its epic comedy line-up and theatre space for fringe and larger scale plays.
Now, the space also offers businesses the opportunity to get involved in the theatre – but does not actually force employees to act.
Devised by the centre, headed by co-founder Hayleigh Evans, the team building options at the centre offer specific outcomes based on businesses’ needs.
“POPArt has devised a range of communications and team building packages, using the foundations of the craft of acting to uncover and reinforce effective communication skills that can be applied to the workplace. Each package offers specific outcomes, many of the packages also encourage team building, participation and collaboration,” said Evans.
The centre also offers theatre shows for business employees to enjoy, while improving the culture in the office by uniting employees.
In addition, they are able to adapt any of their special concepts – which include the Dating in the Dark idea and the Food Hall concept – to use for team building purposes.
This type of team building is for the adventurous manager, but is sure to offer some great fun for employees.
