Gauteng police spokesperson, Captain Mavela Masondo, has confirmed that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Karabo Mokoena.
The man was arrested at his place of residence in Sandton on 10 May.
Mokoena was reported missing on 28 April and her body was found on the 29th April in Lyndhurst.
Masondo confirmed that the man will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on 12 May on a charge of murder.
Condolences have since poured in for Makoena. Her passport and ID were also found in a dustbin in Sandton.

Mokoena’s death was confirmed by a Facebook account purported to belong to her father on Thursday morning.
