The St Francis of Assisi Anglican Church members staged a Palm Sunday procession down Tyrone Avenue in Parkview recently to commemorate the start of Holy Week and as part of the movement to save South Africa.

They were led by churchwardens Theo Coggin and Patience Dlamini with Rector Reverend Paul Germond and server Clementine Nishimwe carrying the cross.

The members of the Parish also held a silent vigil outside the Gupta complex in Saxonwold. In his address on Palm Sunday, Germond likened the corrupt activities of some government leaders to that of the governors of the Temple in Jerusalem when Jesus had chased out the money lenders.
