Three men arrested for housebreaking and theft in Emmarentia

PARKVIEW – Police have arrested three suspects for housebreaking and theft.

 

Three suspects were recently arrested by Parkview police for housebreaking and theft in Emmarentia.

“The police received a radio report of a housebreaking in progress in Umgeni Road. Upon their arrival, they saw three suspects with a plasma TV, grinder and a backpack. Two suspects jumped over the wall to Hill Street,” said Captain Tintswalo Sibeko, communications officer for Parkview Police Station.

While the third suspect was arrested in the yard, the police gave chase and the two suspects were apprehended in Hill Street.

According to Sibeko, all three suspects have appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court to face charges of housebreaking and theft.

“A job well done to Sergeant Phineas Phalandwa, Constable Nicholas Pollard and Constable Israel Mashaba for the swift response to the complaints and ensuring that the community is safe,” added Sibeko.
