LINKSFIELD - Linksfield residents join anti-Zuma protests

The residents of Linksfield congregated at Huddle Park and took to the streets on 7 April to protest against President Jacob Zuma.

Led by Non Profit Organisation, Chains For Change, they joined a plethora of marches taking place across South Africa. The march was organized by Joclyn Katzen from Chains For Change who said that the protest was inspired by Pravin Gordhan’s call for community’s to mobilize.

She said that the recent cabinet reshuffle was the tipping point which brought the entire community together, with her adding “its important for we, as a people who love South Africa, come together as enough to corruption”.

The protesters walked from Huddle Park down Club Street holding anti-Zuma placards while chanting “Zuma must go” while cheering on passing cars hooting in support.
