Norwood police officers achieve success and make many arrests in one week

NORWOOD – Norwood Police Station has made a series of successful arrests for crimes ranging from housebreaking and theft to assault and possession of stolen property.

The Norwood Police Station made 28 successful arrests between 3 and 10 March.

The arrests were as follows:

  • 2 for illegal immigration
  • 2 for common assault
  • 1 for assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm
  • 1 for shoplifting
  • 2 for possession of suspected stolen motor vehicle
  • 11 for drunk driving
  • 2 for theft
  • 2 for the possession of stolen property
  • 1 for malicious damage to property
  • 1 for dealing in marijuana
  • 2 for housebreaking and theft
  • 1 for drug possession.

Spokesperson for Norwood Police Station, Captain Elliot Tshivhase said all the suspects will appear in court and some have paid bail.
