A prominent South African stalwart, Ahmed Kathrada, passed away after a number of visits to the hospital this year.
Kathrada, who created a foundation of the same name with the aim of continueing to fight the injustices of the past, was an icon and a hero to all South Africans.
Companies and the general public took to Twitter to express their condolences, share their memories and bid farewell to a hero.
