Sacred Heart College’s holiday tour to KZN a huge success

OBSERVATORY – Children participate in more than 100 free-choice activities.

The Grade 8s of Sacred Heart College in Observatory went on a fun-filled and bonding school tour to Sugar Bay Resort at Zinkwazi Beach.

The resort, which is a holiday camp for children and teenagers, is located on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast.

According to Jay Royce of the college, children had a joyous time at the resort. “Seventy-five learners together with three of their educators attended the school tour and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of being at the American-styled children’s summer camp.

“The learners participated in fun and exciting camp games such as skits and stunts, a Sugar Bay treasure hunt and minute-to-win-it,” said Royce.

Children were also given the opportunity to participate in more than 100 free-choice activities, added Royce.

The activities included bungee jumping, trampolining, arts and crafts, drama and dance classes.

Royce added that they also enjoyed surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and other fun-filled activities.

One of the highlights for the Sacred Heart children was being able to try out the brand-new Sugar Bay waterslides.
