A new co-work space in Craighall will host 10 free workshops for entrepreneurs in March

A new co-work space which has opened in Craighall is offering free workshops to the community.

The workshops aim to give insight to the community by focusing on topics ranging from social media and search engine optimisation to, How to start your business with no money.

There will be 10 workshops held throughout March which will be presented by various South African entrepreneurs.

Mia Da Camara, the owner of Community Centre, where the workshops will be held, opened the co-work space after living in Hong Kong for many years and realising how popular co-work spaces are.

“Free workshops is something that I experienced overseas to aid this whole entrepreneurial thing because why try and reinvent the wheel over and over when somebody who’s got the knowledge can come and share it,” said Da Camara.

The workshops are aimed at those who are living and working in the community and will aim to offer insight from established entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their businesses. The workshops will be held on weekdays and on the weekend.

“While we’ve got the space available we thought why not just make it an open shell where people can come in, use the space and try help the people in this community,” Da Camara added.
