Parktown High School for Girls received some very special awards at the Gauteng Department of Education Johannesburg North District Awards.
“We are very proud of these exceptional awards,” said Kerry Liss, communications and marketing officer of the school.
The awards were:
- Top school in the district
- Consistent excellence for matrics achieving Bachelor Degree passes (2012 – 2016).
Top achievers overall
- Second place – Ifechukwu Mbajiorgu
- 10th place – Urvi Patel.
Subject awards
- Top science achiever – Ifechukwu Mbajiorgu
- Top geography achiever – Perusha Gounder.
Former headmistress of the school Dr Anthea Cereseto also received a Lifetime Achievement Award.
