It is alleged that a group of armed robbers, who wore police uniforms and drove in a marked police Toyota bakkie and a white Mercedes Benz, held the airport’s security personnel at gunpoint and proceeded to the airside restricted cargo area and damaged the consignment which contained an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects fled the crime scene with 27 parcels full of foreign currency.
