Trucks block N1, N4 and R21, march to Union Buildings expected
JOBURG – There were delays today on some highways heading towards Pretoria due to blockades by truck drivers.
There were heavy delays today (1 March) on the N1, N4 and R21 highways heading towards Pretoria due to blockades by truck drivers as well as a drive-slow.
The truck drivers, believed to be a part of the Coal Transportation Forum, are slowly making their way to Marabastaad and intend to march from there to the Union Buildings.
They are believed to be travelling no faster than 20km per hour and motorists have experienced delays of up to an hour and a half.
