January a good month for Joburg North cluster

JOBURG NORTH — Cops vow they will clean the streets and protect communities.

 

The Joburg North cluster – Alexandra, Bramley, Sandton, Sandringham and Midrand – made the following arrests last month.

  • 32 for possession of dagga
  • 2 for rape
  • 9 for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm
  • 6 for common assault involving domestic violence
  • 15 for fraud
  • 1 for possession of a dangerous weapon
  • 1 for burglary
  • 4 for theft
  • 1 for common robbery
  • 1 for business robbery
  • 26 for shoplifting
  • 3 for possession of stolen goods
  • 4 for reckless and negligent driving
  • 1 for drunk driving
  • 1 for perjury
  • 1 for damage to property.

Bramley police spokesperson Captain Molefe Mogodi said, “As always, we will see to it that the community is safe. We will clean [up] the streets by arresting all the people who are making the lives of our community members hard, or any person who engages in illegal activities.”
