Rand Girls High School has intensified its anti-bullying campaign.
In the spirit of Valentine’s Day and World Read Aloud Day, each Grade 8 received a bookmark last week with advice on how to be a great friend, remembering their pledge to be sisters, and looking after each other.
During the first phase of the campaign, the Grade 8s painted their pinkies as a sign that they would stand up against bullying. They also signed pledges to be responsible and respectful citizens. Rand Girls’ social responsibility team was started three years ago, and the campaign was launched two weeks ago.
