The Jeppe High School for Girls Flower Show is held every year and is an established tradition.
The flower show has been an annual event for more than 85 years and old Jeppe girls are welcome to enter a flower arrangement for the show. Jeppe girls alumni can meet at the school anytime between 3pm and 8pm on 23 February to do their arrangements. They can also deliver their arrangements to the school during this time.
When arranging their flowers, the old girls can follow the themes of Johannesburg, winter’s tale, passport to the world, from the shed, dressed in flowers, echoing a masterpiece and Jeppe nostalgia.
Every arrangement must be labelled with their name, year of matriculation, name of theme and school house.
The Worster Alumni Flower Show trophy will be awarded to the first school house with the most entries from the alumni.
The flower show is open to the public for viewing on 24 February from 2.30pm to 6pm and 25 February from 8.30am to 12.30pm.
