FNB and Parktown North Methodist Church make 3 young women’s dreams come true

PARKTOWN – Parktown North Methodist Church and FNB join hands to assist three matriculants in furthering their education.

Three matriculants have been granted bursaries to further their education due to First National Bank and Parktown North Methodist Church.

Reverend Jack Scholtz was assisted by Christy Chitengu, Esther Sibanda and Hazel Chitengu in ensuring that their applications were submitted correctly and on time.

Barbara Wood, a Society Steward at Parktown North Methodist Church said, “Christy has been accepted to do a BA in Law at the University of Johannesburg; Hazel Chitengu has been accepted at Empilweni Nursing College in Randburg; and Esther Sibanda has been accepted at the International Hotel School in Sandton.”

The three girls have been assisted by the PNMC Educational Trust Fund.

“They have been given bursaries by FNB which was facilitated by one of our congregants, Wendy Alvey. However, there are still many additional expenses that our trust is hoping to cover,” said Wood.

Scholtz added, “We are thrilled that the creation of a future is becoming a reality for three of our recently matriculated young ladies. Their joy when hearing that FNB had awarded each of them a full bursary and the excitement of registering as first-year students were heartwarming to see.”
