A shocking video has gone viral of two school learners from King Edward VII School assaulting two other learners on the school campus.
The video shows one of the learners rolling up his sleeves and slapping the other learner across his face. It is believed that this was a bullying incident that took place at the school.
The bully then slapped the learner once again and turned his attention to another learner. He is seen pointing his fingers at the learners, when another bully becomes visible and slaps the second learner across his face, twice, as well.
Following the incident, the school has released a statement, regarding the incident.
The statement read:
The footage is extremely disturbing and in no way reflects the ethos or traditions of our School.
The incident occurred on the 26 of January 2017 prior to the start of the School day. The assailants and videographers have been identified and will be dealt with according to our Code of Conduct. The boys in the video were in Grade 10 and Grade 11. The victims will be afforded counselling and our full support.
The School views this in a most serious light and is deeply distressed as to how our School has been depicted.
The behaviour of two boys has sadly brought the School and its fine name into disrepute. We as a School accept full responsibility for this incident and will continue to educate our boys using a value based education. Click here to read the full statement.

The Rosebank Killarney Gazette have blurred the faces of the learners from the screen shots from the video to protect their identity as they are minors
