Vernon and Connie Schultz celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on 12 January.
The Inyoni Creek retirement village residents met at Daggafontein Mine in Springs 68 years ago and were married three years later.
The parents to Kevin and Annette and grandparents of four have devoted much of their life to community service. They were long-time members of the Bedfordview Rotary Club, and in 2014 they were given an Inyoni Creek Probus Club lifetime membership.
After raising their two children, the couple enjoyed travelling to interesting destinations and then moved into Inyoni Creek in their golden years. Their anniversary was celebrated at an event organised by ‘our loving family’ and held at the Inyoni Creek clubhouse.
