Sandringham Police Station spokesperson, Captain Mohlaumi Mamabolo, said the station made 57 arrests for various offences in December, including eight people who were charged with assault.
Other arrests include:
- 4 for possession of dagga
- 4 for illegal possession of a firearm
- 3 for rape
- 12 for drunk driving
- 4 for possession of a stolen vehicle
- 1 for hijacking
- 4 for fraud
- 1 for selling alcohol without a license
- 1 for shoplifting
- 3 for crimen injuria
- 3 for jaywalking
- 9 for being in the country illegally.
