One mother, Evelyn Mashiyane said, “Tsegofatso is really excited, not nervous but ready to get started.”

Tsegofatso eagerly added, “I want to work hard so one day I can become a police woman and catch all the criminals.”

Lerato Radebe, the mother of Thato said, “I am very happy that this day has finally come. I am happy that she is studying, she is going to work hard and is looking to be a lawyer eventually.”

Little Dineo Sechabe said, “I am happy and excited, and when I grow up I want to be a chef.”

Grade R teacher, Hope Huma, who prepared the children for Grade 1 said, “Most of the children are very excited about embarking into Grade 1. We have taken into account all the students’ capabilities and went at a pace they were able to handle. I feel like I have prepared them well and I wish all of them the very best.”

Good luck Grade 1s.
